free cecchetti ballet class for summer
Our ballet instructor, Heather Vaughn, will be teaching a free level 1 Cecchetti class on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm. Ages 10 and up for this beginning level class. The first class will be on Tuesday, July 22nd. Click Cecchetti Method for a description.
fall schedule
Our fall schedule is now online. It has been updated as of August 8th. Click here to see our schedule of fall classes. Registration is now ongoing for our fall classes. Your $25 registration fee will hold your place in any fall class. Please download our registration form and mail it in with your registration fee to register for any class, or visit us in the office. September bills have been mailed to returning students as of August 14th.
PERFORMING TEAM BANQUET
Our performing team had it's annual awards banquet in June. Members of the team and their parents had a lovely afternoon aboard The Dandy cruising down the Potomac. Click here for pictures from this fun day!

On 19th annual dance revue, "Dance with Me" will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 27th and 29th, 2009. More information on rehearsals and other important information will be forthcoming. Save the dates!!!
starbound dance competition
On June 1st, our Center Stage performing teams competed at the regional Starbound Dance Competition in Baltimore, MD. They received 12 golds and 12 high gold awards (the highest awarded). "Story of Our Lives" also placed 4th high overall for senior duo/trio and "Black Balloon" placed 3rd high overall for senior group. Jodeci Milhouse was also awarded a scholarship at their summer intensive workshops. Click here for pictures from our competitions this year.
onstage america & Showstopper dance competitions
Our Center Stage performing teams competed in April at the regional Onstage America competition in Woodbridge, VA. They received 4 high gold, 20 platinum and 1 diamond awards. “The Story of Our Lives” placed 3rd high overall for teen duo/trios. In addition, Alex Marrs and Jodeci Milhouse were invited to join the Elite Dance Company at Onstage America’s National Finals this summer.
They also competed at the Showstopper Regional Dance competition in Woodbridge in May. They received 15 gold and 11 platinum awards. Overall placements were:
"Sing a Song" 10th place overall petite small group
"Land of 1000 Dances" 6th high overall teen solo Jodeci Milhouse
"People Grinnin" 7th high overall teen solo Jodeci Milhouse
"Wrapping It Up" 10th high overall senior solo Katharine Still
"Black Balloon" 2nd high overall senior large group
"Get Me to the Church on Time" 4th high overall senior large group
"Working Day and Night" 6th high overall senior large group

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
As a rule, Center Stage does NOT close for inclement weather when Fairfax County schools close. In case of inclement weather, please call the studio one (1) hour before your scheduled class time and the message will indicate if classes are cancelled. If you hear the regular message, classes will be held. This website will be updated also.
